Mustafizur Rahman continued his unbelievable run in international cricket when he took three wickets in four balls in the first Test between Bangladesh and South Africa at Chittagong. Mustafizur removed Hashim Amla and JP Duminy off successive balls, before he got Quinton de Kock two balls later. Mustafizur, who recently took 11 wickets in his first two ODIs â both against India â continued his superb run in international cricket. Once again it seemed like the batsmen threw their wickets away after underestimating him at their own peril. According to AFP, Bangladesh chief selector Faruque Ahmed said, “He [Mustafizur] has already shown what he is capable of. He is probably the brightest find for us in recent times. âHe has been playing in all formats this season and we are confident he will adjust quickly to the demands of Test cricket.” In six ODIs, Mustafizur already has 18 wickets, while he has three wickets in as many T20Is. At tea, South Africa had lost the initiative as Bangladesh reduced the visitors to 165 for 3. Both the unbeaten batsmen at lunch, Faf du Plessis and Dean Elgar were dismissed by each of Bangladeshâs left-arm spinners Shakib Al Hasan and Taijul Islam. Hashim Amla (9*) and Temba Bavuma (20*) were the two unbeaten men at tea. The hosts started well after lunch, with Jubair Hossain and Mohammad Shahid starting off with back-to-back maidens. Shahid continued, bowling as many as six maidens on the trot (on either side of lunch) to end with figures of 12-8-19-0. Mustafizur Rahman had his moments as well, but could not quite match up with the sheer metronome-like Shahid. LIVE UPDATES: Bangladesh vs South Africa, 1st Test at Chittagong, Day 1
