Surya praised Indian team over Asia Cup preparations

Indian national side is going to begin their Asia Cup 2025 campaign with their tournament opener against United Arab Emirates (UAE) on September 10. All the players named for the tournament had an intense practice session at the ICC Academy in Dubai on Friday.

Speaking about the team’s practice session, India’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav praised the team for the energy and dedication they showed on the opening day of training. Surya stated that the skill gives him confidence on his team as they step into the tournament.

“To have such a brilliant bunch around with unbelievable skill sets, I always have a smile on my face when I see those boys on the ground,” Suryakumar said in a video posted by BCCI on X.

Asia Cup 2025 has also turned out as the first time that the short-format players like Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Verma, Suryakumar Yadav and Sanju Samson have rejoined with the players like Shubman Gill, pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh along with spinner Kuldeep Yadav- who are active in the longer (Test) format of the game.
