Cricket Nepal on Tuesday announced a well-balanced 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. Rohit Paudel will continue to lead the team, with Dipendra Singh Airee serving as vice-captain. The squad aims to improve on their performance from the 2024 T20 World Cup and make a strong impression on the global stage.

Key players and team balance

Rohit Paudel, 23, will lead Nepal with his experience as a reliable batter and calm leadership. Dipendra Singh Airee will provide balance as an all-rounder and vice-captain. Nepal’s squad focuses on spin bowling, strong all-rounders, and a resilient batting line-up.

The spin attack is led by Sandeep Lamichhane, supported by Lalit Rajbanshi, Dipendra Singh Airee, and Basir Ahamad. Their all-rounders, including Dipendra, Gulshan Jha, Aarif Sheikh, and Sompal Kami, give the team flexibility in both batting and bowling.

Opening batter Kushal Bhurtel will provide an aggressive start, while Aasif Sheikh will strengthen the team behind the stumps. Lokesh Bam, Sundeep Jora, and Nandan Yadav will provide depth to the batting line-up. Sompal Kami and Karan KC will lead the pace attack with experience at the start and end of innings.
