Nepal, PNG among five teams to feature during ICC U-19 World Cup Qualifier 2015
The sides will battle it out in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with the winner sealing a spot for the main event.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the details of the qualifiers for the upcoming ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup, which will be hosted by Bangladesh early next year. Five teams, viz. Nepal, Papua New Guinea (PNG), Uganda, United States of America (USA) and Ireland have been named as the competitors by the global administrative body for the sport on their official website on Tuesday. The matches have been fixed between October 15 and 22 in the city of Kuala Lumpur, with Nepal and and PNG set to clash in the first game at the Kinrara Oval, which will be followed by the Uganda vs USA clash at the Bayumas Oval on the same day. The final will be played at the Kinrara Oval, while the 3rd/4th place play-off will take place at the other venue on the 22nd of the next month. All the matches of the qualifier stage will be played at 9.30 am. The winner will then qualify for the main tournament, which is scheduled to be played between January 22nd to February 14 next year. Aside from the 10 Test playing nations, Afghanistan, Canada, Fiji, Namibia and Scotland have qualified for the tournament.
South Africa were crowned champions for the first time when they defeated Pakistan in the final of the previous edition of the tournament, held in February-March in 2014 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). India (2000, 2008 and 2012) and Australia (1998, 2002 and 2010) currently hold the record for most title wins, with both sides lifting the trophy thrice since its inception in 1988.
