Nepal thrash Saudi Arabia by 9 wickets in ACC Under-19 Premier League match
Nepal now stands on 2nd place on the points table behind Afghanistan.

Nepal Under-19 won the group stage match in Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Under-19 Premier League against Saudi Arabia by nine wickets after bowling out the opponents for an embarrassing total of 55. This is for the second time when Indiaâs neighbours have outplayed the other team. United Arab Emirates were their first victims when they faced Nepal on Friday and were brushed out for a mere total of 50. It was the 18-year-old Sushil Kandel who was the leading wicket-taker with four wickets to his name in both the occasions. With a victory over Saudi Arabia, Nepal now second on points table below Afghanistan with four wins from five games. Saudi Arabiaâs opener Farhan Patel was the first man to be dismissed in the second over when the side had just one run on board. Nepal then needed just six overs to draw their second blood; Sunil Dhamala was the wicket-taker this time. There were fall of two wickets in two consecutive overs â 11th and 12th over â and suddenly the Middle East side were five down for just 24 runs.

Later in the day, Sami Munshi was the only bowler from Saudi who struck and managed the lone wicket in the second innings. Nepalâs opener Shankar Rana got his stumps smacked in the fifth over before skipper Raju Rijal joined Dhamala in the middle to finish the job for their side with a partnership of 23 runs from 4.4 overs for second wicket.
