Star Afghanistan cricketer and one of the best spinners of all time, Rashid Khan, created history by becoming the first-ever bowler from Afghanistan to take 200 wickets in ODIs.

Rashid Khan is known for incredible spin and dominant performance in T20 cricket. However, Rashid has achieved two great milestones. The first was that he become the first Asian bowler to pick more than 150 wickets in T20Is and over 200 wickets in ODIs in his whiteball career.

However, while playing first ODI against Bangladesh in Abu Dhabi, he achieved this record and he also clinched three important wickets for just 38 runs in his 10 overs. Rashid dismissed Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Jaker Ali, and Nurul Hassan to complete the achievement.

In his ODI career, Rashid has played 115 matches, where he clinched 202 wickets in 107 innings with an impressive average of 20.28 and economy rate of 4.23. His best bowling figures stand at 7 for 18, showcasing his match-winning ability. Rashid has also registered six four-wicket hauls and five five-wicket hauls in ODIs.

Among Afghan bowlers, he leads by a big margin, with Mohammed Nabi standing second with 176 wickets in 174 matches, and Dawlat Zadran third with 115 wickets in 82 matches.
