Rain delayed the start of the fifth day’s play in the second Test between Bangladesh and New Zealand at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Friday.

The play had been expected to start at 10:30 am (04:30 GMT), an hour after the scheduled time, due to an overnight shower.

However fresh drizzle forced the match officials to keep the pitch under cover, delaying the start further.
Bangladesh were 269-3 overnight in the second innings, leading New Zealand by 114 runs.

Left-handed middle-order batsman Mominul Haque remained unbeaten on 126 alongside former captain Shakib Al Hasan (32 not out).
