Strong on-paper New Zealand will be ready to face Ireland in the 5th match of the ICC Women’s World T20 2016 at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali on Friday. The live streaming of  the match between the two  sides will be available on starsports.com and the live telecast of the match will be available on Star sports HD 2 and Star sports 2. New Zealand registered their first win of the competition against Sri Lanka in the second match of the tournament. Their captain Suzie Bates was impressive with the bat as well as bowl scoring 37 crucial runs as an opener and taking a wicket too. Ireland Women have reached the Super-10 after winning a close-contest against Bangladesh in the qualifiers leading up to he tournament, eventually winning on the last-ball. Although, Ireland were defeated against Bangladesh in the warm-up game prior to the Women’s World T20, they would come out and play fearless cricket. Isobel Joyce would be captaining the Ireland side.

3-time Champions of the Women’s World T20, Australia are also a part of Group A along with South Africa. Ireland, though not expected to go further in tournament, will be looking to cause an upset against New Zealand and hoping that their playing eleven can step up and get a win.

New Zealand on the other hand will be looking to continue their winning momentum. Suzie Bates was happy with the performance by her team. “It is really pleasing to get the first one,” said Bates. “And the way we came back after Sri Lanka put us under pressure in its innings was very good. We play Ireland next on Friday. Every game is like a final for us and we will prepare well for it”, said Bates.
