Kane Williamson, the star New Zealand batsman, is nursing a wrist injury at present. He’s missed the the New Zealand vs South Africa series.

Williamson was quoted as saying by stuff.co.nz “obviously not ideal, but it’s not the worst either. It’s important just to look at it as a little break although it would be very nice to be out there.”

“It’s great to have a lot of cricket going into the tournament but, saying that, it will probably need to be managed because there is a huge amount, to be fair, which is a good problem to have. It will mean that hopefully everyone in the squad will have had a fair amount of cricket leading into the tournament,”he added.
