Following on after conceding a 303 runs lead Dimuth Karunaratne and Kaushal Silva have put in a much improved performance. <p></p> <p></p>Earlier Sri Lanka had conceded a 303 runs lead in response to New Zealand's 441. With the exception of Angelo Mathews none of the other Sri Lankan batsman troubled the scorers much. Mathews got a half century, where as for the Kiwis Trent Boult was the pick of the bowlers with impressive figures of 3 for 20. All that before Brendon McCullum annhilated the Sri Lankans on the Day One of the Test with a 134 balls 195.
