Sri Lanka batsman, Lahiru Thirimane was dismissed for 23 by Mitchell McClenaghan after being caught by Kane Williamson at point against New Zealand during the first of the seven-match ODI series at the Hagley Oval in Chrsitchurch on Sunday. Currently Sri Lanka are 155 for the loss of five wickets.

His dismissal has brought Jeevan Mendis out on the ground who is currently batting along with Mahela Jayawardene, who is on 82 off 88 deliveries. Sri Lanka had earlier won the toss and elected to bat first as they take on New Zealand in the final ODI series before the ICC World Cup from February in Australia and New Zealand.
