Tillakaratne Dilshan scores his 42nd One-Day International (ODI) half-century for Sri Lanka off 62 balls in the seventh and final match against New Zealand at Wellington. Dilshan has been in good form in this series so far, which is a good sign for his team in the build up to the ICC World Cup 2015. Sri Lanka play four out of their six games in New Zealand and the opener’s good form is a good sign for Sri Lanka.

Dilshan and Lahiru Thirimanne put on 70 runs for the opening wicket to get Sri Lanka off to a good start. New Zealand, who have rested Brendon McCullum for this game tasted success when Corey Anderson trapped Thirimanne for 30 off the last ball of the 15th over. Veteran Sangakkara has joined Dilshan on the field and the duo will look to consolidate on the start that the openers have provided them with.

New Zealand lead the series 4-1 and Sri Lanka are playing for pride as they’ve already conceded the series.
