In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) faced Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on May 19. The Rishabh Pant-led side lost a significant wickets in the final overs, and Nicholas Pooran’s dismissal was one of the highlight of the match.

When batting during the final over of their innings, Nicholas Pooran was dismissed- run out because of a call made by Abdul Samad. After he left the field, Pooran lost his temper in the dressing room.

Nicholas Pooran was batting excellently, and he hit a six off Nitish Reddy on the second ball of the 20th over but got run out while trying to steal a run on the next ball. Ishan Kishan’s throw from behind the wicket sent Puran to the pavilion. Puran played an innings of 45 runs in 26 balls. In his innings, Puran hit six fours and a six.

After Nicholas Pooran, Abdul Samad, who was present at the crease, was expected to play a big shot, but Abdul Samad disappointed and he was bowled on the fifth ball. Lucknow Supergiants, batting first, scored 205 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs with the help of Mitchell Marsh’s 65 runs in 39 balls and Aiden Markram’s 61 runs in 38 balls. Lucknow has set a target of 206 runs for Hyderabad to win.
