Shakib arrived in Sri Lanka on Tuesday. Shakib will not be present to watch Bangladesh play India on Thursday as he will be flying to Australia to meet surgeon Gregory Hoy. Shakib was struck by finger injury during the tri-series final against Sri Lanka. He has not played international cricket since then. When Bangladesh played a two-Test series against Sri Lanka, Shakib had come to cheer Bangladesh at Chittagong. <p></p> <p></p>BCB physician Dr Debashish Chaudhary provided further updates on Shakib s injury to <em>observerbd.com</em>, His finger injury does not seem to be so serious but now Dr. Hoy will only decide whether he requires surgery. On the other hand, Dr Hoy did not wish to comment without examining Shakib s injury. His date of appointment with Dr Hoy is to be confirmed.
