Pakistan batting great Hanif Mohammad passes away

Pakistan‘s first ever batting great Hanif Mohammad passed away at the Aga Khan Hospital in Karachi after prolonged battle with lung and chest complications. Hanif was admitted to the hospital since three-weeks prior to his demise. Hanif had played 55 Test for Pakistan between 1952 and 1969, averaging 43.98, also had twelve hundred to his name. Hanif was put on ventilator a week ago, after he complained of respiratory problem. Hanif had underwent operation for lung cancer in 2013 in London. Hanif still holds the record for Pakistan’s highest individual score in an innings, which is 337. Hanif batted for 16-long hours during his knock of 337 against West Indies at Bridgetown, and still remains the longest Test innings in Tests.
