Pakistan claw their way to 244/4 at Lunch on Day 4 of 2nd Test at Colombo; Lead Sri Lanka by 67 runs

Pakistan go to lunch of Day Four of the second Test at Colombo at 244 for 4 .Younis Khan and Misbah-ul-Haq were the two wickets to fall. Azhar Ali was given a breather earlier when he was dropped by Kumar Sangakkara at first slip. He has since made the most of it as he looks set to get another century. Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq who walked out to the crease after Younis’ dismissal was trapped in front by Dhamika Prasad for 22. Asad Shafiq will now hope to give good support to Azhar, who is batting extremely well. The first thing Pakistan had to do was get a lead, after they were trailing by just six runs at the beginning of the day’s play. They did that but lost two vital wickets in the process. On Day One, Pakistan had won the toss and elected to bat first. They put on a sorry performance as they were bowled out for just 138 with off-spinner Thirandu Kaushal picking up five wickets and Dhammika Prasad striking twice. Sri Lanka rode on brilliant half-centuries by Kaushal Silva and Mathews. Yasir Shah was the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan as he finished with figures of six for 96.

Pakistan will hope that they give their bowlers something to bowl at in the fourth innings.
