PTI[/caption]

Riaz Pirzada, Pakistan Sports Board President has invited Indian Parliamentarians to play cricket and rugby with the Pakistan members of Parliament, putting an end to their ongoing boycott. Anurag Thakur had stated that he was against the two countries indulging in any sort of sporting activities, following the Pathankot and Uri attacks, which were planned and executed by Pakistan terrorists. India and Pakistan had signed a memorandum, which stated that these two countries would be playing bilateral series in both the countries, which has been stalled due to the terror attacks in India. India and Pakistan are scheduled to play each other in the group stages of the ICC Champions trophy 2017.

"I invite Indian parliament members to play cricket and rugby with Pakistani parliament members," Pirzada said while talking to media. Pirzada said that Pakistan possess players like Prime minister Nawaz Sharif, World Cup winning captain turned politician Imran Khan and also Interior Minister Chaudhry Misar Ali Khan. He added that Imran would be the captain of the cricket team, while Sharif would lead the wrestling team. Thakur on the possibility of ties resuming between India and Pakistan said that "There is no question of India-Pakistan cricket post-Uri attack, according to dailytimes.com.pk.
