Rehman Malik, Pakistan s Interior Minister has warned the national team not to indulge into any malicious activity as he is keeping a “close watch” on them ahead of Wednesday’s World Cup semi-final game against India.

The minister has made the statement after the recent spot-fixing scandal which ended in heavy bans for country s three top players.

“I gave a warning that there should be no match-fixing. I am keeping a close watch. If any such thing happens, we are going to take action,” said Rehman to an Indian TV channel.

Malik informed that he is “sure the team has very clean members”, but security agencies were monitoring the activities of players. They are also keeping an eye on whom they are meeting and “the position of their telephones.”
