Pakistan Move To Top Of WTC Points Table After Drawn India-West Indies Test

Pakistan has surpassed India to top the WTC points table after the second Test between West Indies and India ended as a draw.

PAKISTAN have moved to the top of the World Test Championship points table after the second Test between India and West Indies ended as a draw. India were in pole position to win the Test and seal series 2-0 but Day 5 of the Test was washed out due to rain.

Pakistan have a 100 percent win record in the WTC cycle. The Babar Azam-led side defeated Sri Lanka in the first Test by 4 wickets. The team find itself in a great position in the second Test after bowling out Sri Lanka for 166 in the first innings. Pakistan also wiped off 145 runs for the loss of just 2 wickets to put themselves in a great position.

The draw against West Indies meant that India slipped to second, with a win percentage of 66.67. Australia with a win percentage of 54.17 are third on the WTC points table followed by England (29.17) and West Indies (16.67).

Pakistan’s Schedule For WTC 2023-2025

Pakistan will be playing 14 Test matches in the new WTC cycle. The team is currently playing a two-match Test series against Sri Lanka. This will be followed by a three-match Test series against Australia Down Under. Pakistan will then host West Indies, Bangladesh, and England at home. The Babar Azam-led side will conclude their WTC cycle with an away series against South Africa.
