Sri Lanka extend lead to 465 against Pakistan at tea on third day

Tillakaratne Dilshan cracked a fine 58-ball 56 as Sri Lanka extended their overall lead to 465 against Pakistan at tea on the third day of the opening Test on Sunday.

Dilshan struck nine boundaries and reached 56 not out as the hosts were 93-3 in their second innings, after taking a huge lead of 372 runs against a struggling Pakistan side.

Sri Lanka lost three wickets in the second session, out of which two were bagged by Saeed Ajmal, who extended his wickets tally in the game to seven.

At tea, Mahela Jayawardene was batting on seven, accompanied by Thilan Samaraweera at 0.

Brief Scores: Sri Lanka 472 & 93 for 3 (Tillakaratne Dilshan 56, Tharanga Paranavitana 25; Saeed Ajmal 2 for 35) lead Pakistan 100 (Younis Khan 29, Mohammad Ayub 25; Suraj Randiv 4 for 13, Rangana Herath 3 for 30, Nuwan Kulasekara 2 for 27) by 465 runs.
