Binura Fernando and Dimuth Karunaratne added to squad for Mahela Jayawardene’s farewell Test at Colombo
Twin changes in Sri Lanka squad for SSC Test

Sri Lanka made couple of changes to its squad by calling up 19 year-old pacer Binura Fernando and opening batsman Dimuth Karunaratne in place of Nuwan Pradeep and Chaturanga Kumara for the second and final Test against Pakistan to be held at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo starting on Thursday.
Nuwan Pradeep had earlier twisted his ankle during a training session which caused him to get ruled out of the series in all probability. Neither Pradeep nor Kumara played in the first Test, due to which the Sri Lankan playing eleven might be the same as Galle in spite of the inclusions.
The Sri Lankan cricket authorities also maintained that Shaminda Eranga, who injured his hand in Test match against South Africa last month, would be available for selection subject to his fitness.
Fast bowler Binura Fernando, who will be making his Test debut in Mahela Jayawardene‘s farewell match, is known among the Sri Lankan fans for his height of six-and-a-half-feet and his ability to generate bounce. Karunaratne on the other hand makes his return to the Test side after last featuring in the series in England earlier this summer.
