Pakistan have announced the squad that will take on Australia in a two Test series in the United Arab Emirates. A 16 member team has been chosen. Misbah ul Haq will lead the side. Younus Khan features in the squad. He had left the series against Sri Lanka midway due to the death of his nephew.  Pakistan lost the One-Day series against Australia three nil.

Batsman Taufeeq Umar finds a place in the squad. Umar last turned out for Pakistan in 2012.   Haris Sohail is a new face in the squad. Sohail hit a century for Pakistan A against the Australian side in the only warm up game before the 1st Test. Umar Akmal and pacer Mohammad Irfan have not been selected in this squad. The 1st Test between Pakistan and Australia starts on 22 October.
