Live Cricket Updates, Pakistan vs England, PAK 201: ENG go 2-1 up in the four-Test series with one match to be played at Old Trafford. What a remarkable turnaround for the hosts. On the other hand, the last pair of PAK added 50 runs for their side and showed how to keep fightijng before surrendering to Moeen Ali, who picked the last wicket. It has been a great team effort from ENG to bounce back in a test where they had conceded a lead of 103 runs in the first innings. Take a bow! Everyone stood up in their second innings with the bat while every bowler also were among wickets to seal the deal for ENG. Great performance. Live Cricket Updates, Pakistan vs England, PAK 190/9: PAK’s tail-enders have somehow managed to add 39 runs for the last wicket so far. ENG are being made to work hard after all this for the last wicket. What an irony. Still a matter of time before ENG win the match and go 2-1 in the series.

Live Cricket Updates, Pakistan vs England, PAK 148/7: That’s TEA at Edgbaston! What a great session this has been for ENG. PAK, on the other hand, has done what it does best. Inconsistency and woeful record while batting second has done the trick for them yet again. They have lost 6 wickets in this session with Younis, Misbah, Shafiq, Sarfraz and Sami Aslam departing in quick succession. How much time will Aamer and Yasir bat for PAK to avoid the inevitable for the hosts? Join us after TEA for the final session.

Live Cricket Updates, Pakistan vs England, PAK 124/4: PAK lose another just few overs before Tea. A big wicket this for Steve Finn who has got a wicket after a long gap. He dismisses PAK’s captain, Misbah-ul-Haq for 10. A big opening here for ENG to go all out at PAK. WIth one more session left and 6 wickets remaining, young guns like Sami Aslam, Asad Shafiq and Sarfraz Ahmed have to step up to earn a draw for their side.

Live Cricket Updates, Pakistan vs England, PAK 102/3: PAK lose another as Younis Khan’s poor show continues in England. What a disappointment he has turned out to be for PAK in this tour. Their most dependent batsman, Misbah-ul-Haq comes to the crease with Sami Aslam batting on 51*. Will ENG win this match?

  • 7:00 PM IST

Live Cricket Updates, Pakistan vs England, PAK 91/2: Younis and Sami Aslam trying to stitch another partnership for their side. Lots of overs left in the day’s play. Aslam has looked really nice so far. He has showed patience and stuck with his natural game. Leaving the balls nicely here. Younis needs to add runs to add to his confidence before the final Test at The Oval.

Live Cricket Updates, Pakistan vs England, PAK 79/2: Azhar Ali gone for a well made 38. He was looking really good for his side. PAK need to rebuild again. Younis Khan comes to the crease and has a great chance to score some runs as he has been below average in this series so far. Meanwhile, Sami Aslam looking good at 38.

Live Cricket Updates, Pakistan vs England, PAK 75/1: Play resumes after lunch here at
Edgbaston. Need to say that even though PAK have put ENG on top of this
game, they are fighting it hard to save the match at present. But you
cant be sure with a team like PAK. Wil they go for a victory with 58
overs left and 267 runs more to win? If they have wickets in hand, they
just may. It would be heartening to see this approach by them.

Live Cricket Updates, Pakistan vs England, PAK 62/1: Sami Aslam and Azhar Ali seem to have a very good understanding between them it seems. Another fifty plus partnership going among them. How much can they add? They need to bat carefully as PAK have a habit of collapsing while chasing. A draw or ENG’s victory seems more likely till now.

  • 5:13 PM IST

Live Cricket Updates, Pakistan vs England, PAK 54/1: Sami Aslam and Azhar Ali have carried on well. Aslam has hit some superb boundaries, five of them so far in his innings. Ali has also made most of poor deliveries. A bit overpitched and he has latched on to them. Pakistan have crossed the 50-run mark as well. Still a lot of time in the match though. A wicket could change things for England. Who knows.

  • 4:25 PM IST

Live Cricket Updates, Pakistan vs England, PAK 16/0: Hafeez has gone for 2 runs. What an awful tour he is having and he only has himself to blame for that. Being a senior batsman, he should not have played such a shot. Last innings heroes, Azhar Ali and Sami Aslam again battling it out for the team.

  • 4:17 PM IST

Live Cricket Updates, Pakistan vs England, PAK 5/0: PAK have added 5 runs to their scorecard. Still a big task ahead. They must be dejected seeing the way they have given the momentum to ENG after having a lead of 103 runs in the first innings. Will Broad rip them apart as he has a better record bowling second and this was the same venue where he ran through AUS’s batting line-up in Ashes 2015.

  • 3:52 PM IST

Live Cricket Updates, Pakistan vs England, ENG 445/6 decl: ENG have finally declared. Did it make any sense for them to bat for sometime only on Day 5? Anyway, Jonny Bairstow got out for 83 while Moeen Ali blasted a few quick runs and remained unbeaten on 86. PAK have a humongous task ahead to chase 343 runs, which will be the most chased at Edgbaston. With their dismal chasing record and inconsistency, will they put up a fight or go for a draw?

  • 3:36 PM IST

Live Cricket Updates, Pakistan vs England, ENG 439/6: PAK have got the first wicket of the day but it is to late for them. Moeen Ali has made it clear he will go for quick runs before they declare. Will Ali get to his hundred and ENG will declare after that? Lead stands at 336.

Hello and Welcome to CricketCountry’s coverage of the fifth and final day of the third Test between Pakistan and England at Edgbaston, Birmingham. I am Aditya Sahay and I will be bringing you the live updates of the of the day’s action. England have a comfortable 311-run with 5 wickets in hand going into the final day of the Test. The match seems to be heading towards a draw, unless England declare and Pakistan are bundled out in three sessions or so. England have Moeen Ali, batting on 60 and Jonny Bairstow batting on 82. It will be interesting to see how long England bat on before declaring.  LIVE CRICKET SCORECARD: Pakistan vs England 2016, 3rd Test at Edgbaston

The series is nicely poised. If this match ends in a draw, then it will all come down to the result in the fourth Test at The Oval. Pakistan won the first Test at Lord’s by 75 runs, but England bounced back at Old Trafford with a comprehensive 330-run win. READ: ENG lead PAK by 311 runs at stumps on Day 4 of 3rd Test

In the third Test, however, the opening combination of Alastair Cook and Alex Hales got their act together and stitched a 126-run opening partnership. Cook was dismissed for a well made 66 and a over later, Hales too joined him back in the pavilion. Pakistan will look to make some early inroads on the final day and perhaps make a match of it. England will perhaps play on till Bairstow gets to his century. They are in a safe position in the match already, after conceding a 103-run first innings deficit.
