Greetings everyone! Welcome to CricketCountry’s live match coverage of the second and fianl One-Day International (ODI) match between Pakistan and Ireland at The Village in Dublin. Pakistan will come out stronger against Ireland after following their emphatic performance in the Test series against England and 255 runs demolition of the hosts in the series opener. Pakistan, lying currently at the ninth position, is eager to make mark in the shorter formats as the beckon the beginning of a new period in their team. Ireland, on the other hand, coming back after their ODI series against Afghanistan looked clueless and out of sorts in the first ODI with their bowlers leaking runs and batters not being able to put bat on ball. Irish batsmen got out at 82 while their bowlers conceded 337 runs which shows they have a huge task lying ahead of them in they want to come back and draw the series. Ireland won the toss and elected to bowl but their bowlers were not allowed to settle down because of a gutsy and clean hitter, Sharjeel Khan, scoring a mammoth 152 runs off 86 balls. He was supported by Shoaib Malik and debutant, Mohammad Nawaz with fifties. William Porterfield, the Irish captain, has a high task in hand if he wants his team to turn the tables and put up a spirited performance against a newly built Pakistan side.

It will be tricky for the visitors whether to change the Playing XI or not as they have the momentum but will want to try out a few players before  taking on England in a five-ODI series.  It’s all to play for both the teams in one final encounter. Ireland should watch videos of their memorable win over Pakistan in the ICC World Cup 2007 to level the series.
