New Zealand batsman and senior-pro, Daniel Vetorri scored a healthy 27 off 25 deliveries during the first of the five-match ODI series against Pakistan at the Dubai Sports Complex in Dubai on Monday. He was dismissed by Wahab Riaz after being bowled by him. Currently New Zealand are 214 for the loss of seven with Ross Taylor batting on 87 and Natahn McCullum on one.

Pakistan and New Zealand start a five-match one-day series in Dubai on Monday with the focus on building confidence and momentum for next year’s ICC World Cup, which is just two months away. It promises to be a keenly-fought contest after they ended honours even in both the three-Test series and the two-match Twenty20.
