Pakistan batsman, Haris Sohail scored his maiden half-century in ODIs against New Zealand during the first of the five-match ODI series at the Dubai Sports Complex in Dubai on Monday. His fifty came off 73 deliveries including two boundary and a six with a strike-rate of 71.23. His previous best score was against West Indies at Gros Islet in July last year when he scored 26.

Currently, he is batting with his partner, Shahid Afridi who is batting on 29 off 30 deliveries while Pakistan are 174 for the loss of six wickets in 39 overs, still requiring 73 runs from 10 overs. They also bring up the 50-run partnership for the seventh wicket from 52 deliveries. Earlier, New Zealand set a target of 247 for Pakistan to win the first encounter.
