Pakistan’s dream of drawing first blood against New Zealand in the first of the five-match ODI series at the Dubai Sports Complex in Dubai on Monday took further blow after skipper, Misbah ul Haq was dismissed for mere 13 off 23 deliveries as Daniel Vettori took a screaming one-handed catch running backwards off the bowl of James Neesham. Currently Pakistan are 89 for the loss of five wickets with Haris Sohail and Sarfraz Ahmed batting on 24 and one respectively.

Earlier, Pakistan skipper, Misbah-ul-Haq had won the toss and elected to field first citing dew factor in the evening session while New Zealand set a target of 247 for Pakistan to win the first encounter.
