&nbsp; <p></p> <p></p><strong>Dec 12, 2014</strong> <p></p> <p></p>New Zealand openers batted with a lot of freedom as they brought up the teams hundred in the 18th over, in pursuit of 253 set by Pakistan to level the five-match series in the second One-Day International at Sharjah. New Zealand are also chasing their maiden win at Sharjah against Pakistan in ODIs. Both Batsmen are closing in on their maiden half centuries in ODIs as well. <p></p> <p></p>Earlier in the Day Pakistan opted to bat on a seemingly flat pitch. Despite being under the pump for majority of the innings they managed a challenging 252 on the board. Matt Henry and Mitchell Mcclenaghan were the pick of the Kiwi bowlers. Where as Mohammad Hafeez top scored with 76 for Pakistan. <p></p> <p></p>Coming into the second ODI, Pakistan had made a solitary change to their line up from the previous game as Sohail Tanveer replaces Umar Gul. New Zealand on the other hand made as many as three changes with Corey Anderson getting a look in instead of Jimmy Neesham who has struggled with the Bat lately. Also Kyle Mills and Nathan Mccullum make way for Matt Henry and Mitchell Mcclenaghan. New zealand had opted for the horses for courses approach, expecting this pitch to assist seamers more than spinners.
