Pakistan vs New Zealand, 2nd Test at Dubai, Day 4: Sarfraz Ahmed scores his third Test ton in this season

Sarfraz Ahmed reached his third Test century of his career and rescued Pakistan from a position of difficulty. He along with Rahat Ali added for the last wicket and frustrated New Zealand. Sarfraz also become the only wicketkeeper to score three Test ton in a calendar year.

Pakistan started the fourth day of the second Test at Dubai on a bad note as they lost two quick wickets. The first hour of the fourth day belonged to the Kiwis as they took 3 for 38 and hoping for a lead of around 70-80 runs. But the game changed when Sarfraz along with the last man Rahat Ali decided not to throw their wickets away. The Pair frustrated the tourists and already added 80 runs for the 10th wicket.

Earlier on Day three both teams had a competitive day of cricket at the Dubai International stadium as the second Test between Pakistan and New Zealand hung in balance. Both teams had their moments of success and with six sessions to go, all three results are possible. Chasing New Zealand’s 403 in the first innings, Pakistan finished the day at 281 for six, they are still 122 runs behind. Three wickets in the last session have given the Kiwis slight edge in the match.
