Mohammad Hafeez, the Pakistani opener who batted will in the first Test against New Zealand, missed out the second Test due to an injury. However he was also reported for suspect bowling action during the last Test.

New Zealand is playing the second Test of the three match series at Dubai, which is started form Monday. Kiwi skipper Brendon McCullum won an important toss and decided to bat first. Pakistan made three changes in their playing eleven from the last Test. The openers, Hafeez and Ahmed Shehzad missed out due to injury issues, so Taufeeq Umar and Shan Masood came in. Imran Khan also has been rested for Ehsan Adil. On the other hand New Zealand have fielded an unchanged team.
