Mohammad Hafeez departed following a brisk knock of 33 which came of a mere 27 balls in the third One-Day International against New Zealand at Sharjah. Hafeez provided Pakistan some much needed impetus at the top of the innings, as he carted the Kiwi bowlers to all corners of the ground. Corey Anderson accounted for Hafeez’s wicket.

Shahid Afridi has assumed responsibility of leading Pakistan in Misbah’s absence. New Zealand have made multiple changes, as has been the pattern with the Kiwis over the course of the limited overs series. Adam Milne, Daniel Vettori and Dean Brownilie make way for Jimmy Neesham, Martin Guptil and Nathan McCullum. The addition of Jimmy Neesham will further bolster the New Zealand batting line up.

Pakistan and New Zealand have been neck and neck thus far. The Test series was drawn one a piece, so were the two Twenty20 Internationals and now the ODI series stands square at one all with three matches to go.
