Pakistan lead the 5-match ODI series against Sri Lanka Getty Images[/caption] Pakistan had an easy win over Sri Lanka in the first ODI at Dubai International Stadium on Friday by 83 runs. However, on Saturday upon investigation it was found the Bowenpally police busted a cricket betting racket and apprehended two for their involvement in it.
The racket was busted along with an official statement. The players were immediately taken into custody on Friday and amount of INR 16,000 was also seized. Apart from the cash, a TV set, laptop and seven mobile phones were also found after raiding the apartment in Hyderabad.
The bets were made over cellphones during the ODI match.
