After clinching the four-match T20I series by 3-1, Pakistan are set to lock horns with West Indies for a thrilling first ODI at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. The last time these teams met for an ODI series at West Indies in 2013, there were many close games as well as a draw match. West Indies carry an unwanted record to their name as they have not beaten any team in a bilateral series outside Bangladesh, Pakistan will be entering as favourites. For West Indies, it was Chadwick Walton who impressed many with his performance in the T20I series. His 80 runs in the series earned him selection for the first two ODIs as West Indies reserve wicketkeeper, behind Shai Hope.

However, West Indies will be without Carlos Brathwaite who is currently going to work on his bowling and fitness through IPL for his franchise Delhi Daredevils (DD).
