The Pakistan pace trio of Mohammad Aamer, Mohammad Abbas and Wahab Riaz rattled West Indies in the first session of Day One of the first Test at Sabina Park, Jamaica. West Indies managed to put up 71 runs losing their top-four batsman. Kieron Powell has been the only batsman who sustained the extravagant pace bowling from the visitors as he is still unbeaten on 33. For Pakistan, Aamer 2 wickets while debutant Abbas and Wahab took one wicket each. Regular wickets in the early hour of the first session have put West Indies in a spot of bother with almost all their recognised batsmen back in the dressing room. Put in to bat first, Pakistan began the proceedings with Aamer and Abbas bowling from the either end with Kraigg Brathwaite and Kieron Powell at the crease. It was a matter of just 7 deliveries as Pakistan got the first breakthrough. Abbas bowling his first over in international cricket got the wicket of Brathwaite on the second delivery. Abbas bowled in a back of length delivery making Brathwaite poke at it giving Younis Khan an easy catch at second slip. Live updates: Pakistan vs West Indies, 1st Test, Day One

The hosts never looked at ease against the seam bowling from Pakistan as these pacers kept on asking questions to the hosts on a regular basis. Shimron Hetmyer and Vishaul Singh, who were handed their debuts backing on an impressive performance in the only warm-up game against Pakistan, could not emulate the same here. Hetmyer did look attacking as he smashed some glorious boundaries through cover regions. But his stay did not last much as one in-swinging delivery from Aamer took his off-stump to a cartwheel.

Shai Hope too departed in the same fashion with Aamer got his second of the game and was soon followed by Vishaul who was dismissed of Wahab s bowling as Azhar Ali took a sharp catch at square leg.

Brief scores:

West Indies 71 for 4 (Kieron Powell 33*, Roston Chase 12*; Mohammad Aamer 2 for 10, Mohammad Abbas 1 for 24, Wahab Riaz 1 for 27) vs Pakistan
