Pakistan want ‘foolproof’ security for players

Pakistan government hoped that India would make foolproof arrangements for the security of teams taking part in the Cricket World Cup. 
Foreign Office spokesperson, commenting on reports about planned terrorist attacks to be launched from Pakistani soil on venues of the marquee event in India, said that terrorism had no borders. It is a vicious phenomenon that all must collectively confront. 
“Pakistan being a victim of terrorism takes all such reports seriously. We hope that India will make foolproof arrangements for the security of Cricket World Cup,” she was quoted saying by The Nation.
Separately, she said that Pakistan had already conveyed its concerns about vituperative statements being made within India about participation of Pakistan’s cricket team in the cup.
Pakistan is looking forward to the forthcoming meeting of interior and home secretaries to discuss issues related to terrorism, she added.
