In their bid to unearth new fast bowling talent, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will be starting a new reality show “King of Speed” with Wasim Akram being the chief judge.

“The talent hunt is aimed at unearthing and discovering exciting raw new pace talent because the success of Pakistan cricket has always largely been built around its battery of fast bowlers,” Akram said.

Besides the opportunity to work with one of Pakistan’s top pace bowlers, the best raw talent who achieves the fastest bowling speed above 145kmph will also be awarded one million rupees by the sponsors, Ufone.

The trials are being held at Garhi Khuda Baksh, Multan, Faisalabad Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta, Abbottabad, AJK (Mirpur) and Lahore.
