The second day of the ongoing third Test between Pakistan and Australia will begin an hour later than the scheduled time due to the tragic passing away of Australian cricketer Phillip Hughes this morning at a hospital in Sydney, due to which the players at the Sharjah International Stadium were in a state of shock and grief, and would apparently find it hard to focus on the game.

Hughes passed away this morning at the St. Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney. Hughes was hit by a bouncer by Sean Abbott on Tuesday during a Sheffield Shield match between South Australia and New South Wales, and was taken to hospital, where he was operated . He was said to be in critical condition and scans revealed skull fracture. Hughes, was also due to celebrate his 26th birthday this weekend. His death has shocked the entire cricket fraternity.
