Hughes to captain Australia A

Aug 11, 2014
Australian opener Phil Hughes was pronounced captain of Australia A ahead of their second clash against the visiting South Africa A side. Moises Henriques, who captained in the first game, is out of the tournament with a groin strain.
According to cricket.com.au, Australia A coach Michael Di Venuto said, “I certainly expect him [Phil Hughes] to bounce back, because that’s the type of player he is. As a team, we can’t expect him to do all the work.”
There were a couple of forced changes even in the South Africa A squad, as Marchant de Lange and Rilee Rossouw were called for national duty. Allrounder David Wiese and pacer Corne Dry have been named their replacements.
