Phillip Hughes’ funeral: Sachin Tendulkar pays tribute

Sachin Tendulkar paid tribute to Phillip Hughes by Tweeting about how he would miss the Australian opener, while praising his enthusiasm and drive. Tendulkar was unable to attend Hughes’ funeral, which was held in his hometown of Macksville, but nonetheless offered his support on the day.

Hughes’ funeral was attended by a number of former and current cricketers such as Aaron Finch, David Warner, Michael Clarke, Virat Kohli, Brian Lara, Glenn McGrath, Shane Warne, Brett Lee, Ricky Ponting, Ravi Shastri, Rohi Sharma, Sean Abbott, Murali Vijay, and others. Clarke also spoke at the funeral, and delivered a touching eulogy to his friend and teammate.
