Dhawan had an exciting season in IPL 2016 being part of the winning team and complimenting his IPL skipper David Warner in most of the games. He ended IPL 9 securing 401 runs and remained at No.4 as highest run-getter. Recently, Dhawan’s former coach Tarak Sinha stated that he is anxious about Dhawan s form and hopes his ward would get back to scoring runs, especially in the longer format as the national team is scheduled to play 13 Tests in future. Analysing the game of Dhawan, he believed that the left-hander has not been too consistent and would have to score runs to silence his critics.
