Zimbabwe’s woes against the pink ball continued as  South Africa stare at a big win against in the Boxing Day Test, at St Georges Park in Port Elizabeth on Wednesday. Zimbabwe were 36 for without loss before tea on Day Two in the second innings, losing Hamilton Masakadza to an injury. They still need another 205 runs to make South Africa bat again.

Zimbabwe resumed the day at 30 for 4. They added only 6 to the score when they lost overnight batsman Ryan Burl to a ripper from Morne Morkel. The ball beat Burl for pace as Morkel angled it in from round the wicket.

That went on to be the order of the day. Zimbabwe were bowled out for 68, 91 short of the follow-on mark (remember that the margin is 150, not 200 runs). Morkel picked his seventh five-for in Tests while Kagiso Rabada and Andile Phehlukwayo claimed 2 wickets each. Night-watchman Kyle Jarvis was top scorer, with 23. A bouncer had tamed Sikandar Raza who soon departed caught behind 4 balls later.
