Recently, Indian Test captain Virat Kohli took part in PM Narendra Modi s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan along with some of his teammates and President of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Anurag Thakur. Their initiative was very much appreciated by fans on social media. It happened during the second Test between India and New Zealand at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. It was PM Modi who launched this campaign two years back on October 2, 2014 and from then, there has been an enormous awareness being spread all over the nation in order to make the nation clean as much as possible.

PM Modi urged celebrities and famous personalities of the nation to come forwards take part in this initiative to set example. This is probably the most popular campaign by PM Modi so far. Captain Kohli was seen taking part in this initiative along with vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara. Their initiative was captured and telecasted by almost every news channels and PM Modi got to know about this through one of those channel. PM Modi took no time and praised Kohli for his initiative by tweeting from his official Twitter account.

Kohli also did not take much time and replied him very humbly.

Kohli and his team are currently in Indore to play the third Test of the series between India and New Zealand.
