Former India spinner Pragyan Ojha praised Gujarat Titans (GT) pacer Prasidh Krishna for his impactful performances in the ongoing IPL season, particularly acknowledging the strong support system behind his success. Krishna played a crucial role in GT’s 38-run win over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Ahmedabad, delivering an impressive spell of 2/19 in four overs.

This victory against SRH pushed GT to second place on the IPL 2025 points table. Speaking on JioHotstar, Ojha lauded Krishna’s precision and calm under pressure, crediting his success to the clarity in his bowling and the positive environment fostered by the team’s leadership.

“I think he’s been brilliant so far. What I love about him is the clarity he has in his bowling. He’s also got strong backing from his captain and coach Ashish Nehra. If you’ve heard Nehra speak, he always emphasizes bowling hard lengths–and Prasidh thrives on that,” said Ojha

Ojha also reflected on the confidence a player gains when their role in the team is clearly defined. “When you’re backed for your strengths, everything becomes easier. Once he gets those early wickets, the momentum carries forward. And that’s exactly what he’s done consistently,” Ojha added.

Coming to the match, Gujarat Titans successfully defended a 200-plus target and secured a convincing 38-run victory over SRH. Skipper Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan played impressive knocks, scoring 76 and 48 runs respectively. Jos Buttler also made a significant contribution with the bat, smashing 64 off 37 deliveries.
