Pratika makes record-breaking knock with a century against Ireland
Indian women’s cricket team opener Pratika Rawal gave out a brilliant performance with the bat in the third ODI against Ireland. She broke records and scored a century with Smriti Mandhana in the match.
Pratika scored her maiden century of her ODI career. She made a partnership of 233 runs for the first wicket between her and Smriti Mandhana. Pratika made a special record after scoring her first ODI century. She became the highest run-scoring female batsman in ODI cricket after the first 6 innings.
Pratika Rawal scored her first ODI century
The Indian women team scripted history in their third ODI match against Ireland on January 15 2025 in Rajkot. The Women in Blue posted a target of 436 to Ireland. This was the highest score that the Indian team had made in their ODI history against Ireland.
In the third ODI match, opening batter Pratika shot efficient shots and hit fours and sixes. A total of 154 runs came from her bat. She performed with brilliance along with Smriti Mandhana.
Because of this performance, Indian women’s team crossed the 400 mark for the first time in their history of ODIs. Though this match marked the 10th ODI century for Smriti Mandhana, Pratika was the star of the show as she shocked everyone by scoring her first ODI century. Pratika scored 154 runs in 129 balls and hit 20 fours and 1 six. Her first ODI century also marked the fourth highest score.
