Jacques Kallis was dismissed by Pravin Tambe in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014 match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals. Kallis tried to slog a full delivery by Tambe, but was caught at long on by Steven Smith. In 8.5 overs, they are 49 for two. Kolkata are chasing 153 for victory.

Rajat Bhatia came onto bowl in the seventh over and Kallis had tried to sweep him. It went in their air around square-leg and James Faulkner was not able to come around to catch it and ended up merely stopping it. The required run-rate is rising and Kolkata have to bank on Gambhir and Kallis to up the tempo soon. Shane Watson bowled a goof eighth over, but off the last ball, he strayed down the leg side and was worked to fine-leg by Kallis for a four.

Earlier, Rajasthan won the toss and elected to bat. Rajasthan brought back James Faulkner into the side. Even Iqbal Abdulla came into the team. Plus, Kolkata got back R Vinay Kumar, Shakib Al Hasan, Manvinder Bisla in place of Piyush Chawla, Chris Lynn and Yusuf Pathan. Ajinkya Rahane’s 72 helped Rajasthan post 152 on the board.
