Mumbai: NaMo Bandra Blasters will be hoping to continue their dominance as they take on SoBo Supersonics in the T20 Mumbai League afternoon game at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday. Having won both their games in the league stage so far, Blasters would be high on confidence, hoping to carry that momentum into the game against the Supersonics.

Blasters have one of the strongest batting line-ups in the league, and that has been evident with the way they have dominated the opposition bowling in the league so far. Skipper Shreyas Iyer has led from the front, hitting back-to-back half centuries.Aman Khan and Nikhil Patil have shown terrific striking ability with the bat, and as it stands, Blasters have not much to worry.

For the Supersonics, it s a crucial game; having won one of their two games so far, their main challenge would be to keep the opposition batting under check. The likes of Abhishek Nayar, Badre Alam will have to bring in all their experience to deliver and find ways of taking wickets against the Blasters.Supersonics are well sorted with the bat as well.

Like in their Thursday s opponent, Supersonics also have a batsman in Jay Bista, who has hit two half-centuries in two games. They have some good strikers of the ball in Prasad Pawar, Prashant Naik as well as skipper Abhishek Nayar. Having chased down a target of 193 in the previous game, Supersonics would be reasonably confident going into Thursday s game.

Panthers face Lions

Having lost both their games in the league stage, North Mumbai Panthers would need to find a way to victory quickly as they take on Shivaji Park Lions in Thursday s evening game. Panthers have been good in patches, but have failed to win crunch situations continuously enough to convert the good patches into victory.

They reduced ARCS to 52 for 6 in the first game, but still ended up conceding a total in excess of 160. Then their bowling failed to defend 192 against Supersonics. The bowling unit needs to find a way to deliver a knockout blow for Panthers to have a chance of beating the Lions.

Lions would be breathing easier, having beaten Mumbai North East Triumph Knights on Tuesday. Their bowlers made a terrific comeback against Knights on Tuesday, and Lions would be hoping to see a similar show from their bowlers against Panthers.

Lions opener Bravish Shetty has scored two half-centuries in as many games. And his form, coupled with that of all-rounder Shivam Dubey and skipper Siddhesh Lad is a good sign for Lions.
