Shaw to be rewarded INR 25 Lakhs for winning ICC U-19 World Cup 2018

Mumbai:  The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) on Saturday announced a prize of INR 25 lakhs for Under 19 World Cup winning skipper Prithvi Shaw. “Many congrats to the U 19 team. On behalf of @MumbaiCricAssoc MCA prize of INR 25 lakhs to the captain & Mumbaikar Prithvi Shaw! Hope it encourages teenage talents!!,” MCA president and BJP MLA Ashish Shelar tweeted.

“World Champions – once again ! Congratulations 2 our U-19 cricket team for a masterly performance, #PrithviShaw made Mumbai proud 2day !,” Shelar said in another tweet. Earlier, the India colts defeated Australia to lift the Under 19 World Cup for a record fourth time.

The squad was led from the front by Shaw, a promising batsman.
