Due to the ongoing tension on the border between India and Pakistan following the air strike by Pakistan, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made the decision to suspended the Indian Premier League (IPL) for a week. This was announced by the board on Friday. The match played between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) in Dharamsala had to be cancelled due to security reasons, so the fans have a question in their minds as to what will happen to this match. A big update has come out regarding this.

Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals were facing each other at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium, and the clash had to be called off because the floodlight towers stopped working. It was later revealed that there was a blackout because of air raid horns.

The match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals will start from where it ended, or this match will be played completely again. However, no official information has been given by the BCCI regarding this yet.
Amid all that, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia stated that details will be given once a complete assessment has been made.

“Further details regarding the new schedule and venues of the tournament will be announced in due course after a comprehensive assessment of the situation in consultation with the concerned authorities and stakeholders,” BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia said in a statement on Friday.

After the match was cancelled in Dharamsala, IPL has not made any changes in the points table on its website. Only 11 matches each are being shown in the account of these two teams. Usually after a match is cancelled, both teams are given 1-1 points, but this did not happen, after which it is believed that the match can be played again.
