Sanju Samson is likely to miss crucial match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru after sustaining a side strain during the game against Delhi Capitals.

Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson is likly to miss thier upcoming IPL clash agaisnt Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 24th, due to the side strain he sustained during the game against Delhi Capitals.
The franchise confirmed that as part of his recovery, Sanju Samson is staying back in Jaipur with a few RR medical staff and will not travel to Bengaluru. The wicketkeeper-batter picked up the injury during the match against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, forcing him to retire hurt after scoring 31 off 19 balls. Rajasthan Royals eventually lost the match in a thrilling Super Over.
“The team management is monitoring his progress closely and will take a game-by-game approach regarding his return to action,” said the franchise in its statement on Monday
However, Riyan Parag will be seen leading the team in Samson’s absence, having led RR in four games earlier this IPL season.
With Samson unavailable for RR’s match against RCB, left-handed batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi who made history as the youngest player to feature in the tournament at just 14 during their two-run loss to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium is expected to continue opening the innings alongside Jaiswal.
Samson is the second highest run scorer for RR in IPL as he scored 224 runs in 7 games at an average of 37.33. Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag are the only batter from RR who have managed to score 200 plus runs in the ongoing IPL.
