Rangana Herath, the Sri Lankan left arm spinner, who took 23 wickets in the recently concluded two match Test series against Pakistan achieved career best International Cricket Council (ICC) rankings and moved up to third position current top Test bowler’s list. Herath now has 851 rating points. Only Australia’s Ryan Harrish (870) and South Africa’s Dale Steyn (907) are above him according to the newly released ICC Rankings for Test bowlers.

Meanwhile Mahela Jayawardena had signed off on his illustrious Test career in 15th position. The right-hander represented Sri Lanka in 149 Tests. At 11,814 runs, he sits in seventh place on the all-time list of most run-getters.
